Murder Therapy (IT), Brutal Technical Death

With Deity Down Records from 2008 - 2010

BIOGRAPHY:

Murder Therapy was born in Bologna, Italy in October of 2007 when Francesco D'Adamo (also guitarist for Cryptic Theory) answered the call of vocalist Riccardo Meschiari and bassist Simone Esperti (ex-Creation of Madness) with the intention of creating a new Death Metal project.

At the beginning of 2008 Andrea Cavalieri (drums) joined the band and now that the line-up had been completed Murder Therapy started working hard on songwriting and playing its first gigs in the Bologna area.

The band quickly developed a typical trademark style. In a very personal mix of Death Metal, Murder Therapy blends their own twisted, irregular and modern patterns with sounds and atmospheres inspired by American bands. In June of 2008 the quartet headed for the studio and recorded the self-released four-song EP ‘The Therapy’.

Extremely positive response on ‘The Therapy’ from both domestic as well as from foreign magazines followed almost instantly. The EP was awarded the status of Top Demo at the Italian webzines Metalitalia (http://www.metalitalia.com) and Noizemag (http://www.noizemag.com), and renowned international webzines such as Lords Of Metal (http://www.lordsofmetal.nl) and Global Domination (http://www.globaldomination.se) went through the trouble of interviewing the band.

All of this didn’t go unnoticed and in December of 2008 Murder Therapy signed a deal with Netherlands-based underground label Deity Down Records for the release of the band’s 2009 debut full-length ‘Symmetry Of Delirium’.

In March of 2009 drummer Andrea Cavalieri was replaced with the highly skilled youngster Marco ‘Samu’ Bolognini (Chaos Among Nameless) and brought his band mate Sean Worrell (guitars, Chaos Among Nameless) along in the meantime. Bass player Simone Esperti was replaced with Marcello Tavernari.
