14 Dec 2010: PERSISTENSE: New record deal, new guitarist, new clip.

Den Bosch, Netherlands based Thrash/Death quintet PERSISTENSE (http://www.persistense.nl, http://www.myspace.com/persistensemetal) have renewed their agreement with DEITY DOWN RECORDS (http://www.deitydownrecords.com, http://www.myspace.com/deitydownrecords).

 

A new full-length, sophomore to ‘IN BLOOD AND HEART’ (DEITY DOWN RECORDS, 2009) will be slated for release in the second half of 2011. During the first half of the year PERSISTENSE will focus on touring extensively once more, as well as on adding the finishing touches to the new material.

 

The band, whose moniker often is thought to contain a spelling error while in fact it is a contraction of ‘to persist’ and ‘intense’, have welcomed new guitarist HEIN WILLEKENS, who replaces JACQUES MAAS.

 

PERSISTENSE recently launched a video clip of ‘THE REALITY’, a track taken from their current album ‘IN BLOOD AND HEART’. The video can be watched at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7cVIHBzehk.

 

 

20 Nov 2010: BRUTUS canceled.

According to DDR’s contact in the band, Brutus’ ‘MURWGEBEUKT/ TOTAL LOSS’ album will not be finished within the forseeable future. This has put the label in rather difficult position, since any further delay really no longer is acceptable. Regrettably the only alternative is to mutually terminate our collaboration, effective immediately.

 

All pre-orders will be refunded shortly.

 

To top off this round of bad news, the label’s agreements with Devious and Escutcheon have not been renewed.

 

 

08 Nov 2010: BRUTUS, MURDER THERAPY, VICTIMIZER, DEBT OF NATURE.

First up, just to keep everybody out there posted, there is NO change in the status of ‘MURWGEBEUKT/TOTAL LOSS’ by BRUTUS. Recently it has proven impossible to get in touch the band, and that is not a good sign.

 

MURDER THERAPY has been working on songs to appear on their 2nd full-length, see press statement below. The band’s contract with Deity Down Records, however, will not be renewed.

 

‘PRESS RELEASE: Murder Therapy: new album announced, video preview posted online.

 

Bologna, Italy based metalers MURDER THERAPY have posted a sneak preview online of the songs 'ANOPTIKON' and 'DRAWN BACK', both of which are to be featured on their forthcoming new album. The video, located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87YXsL_gx2U represents the band's actual musical direction, mixing elements of extreme metal with postcore and ambient atmospheres. It was recorded during the band's October 2010 rehearsal sessions. The new as of yet untitled record and follow-up to SYMMETRY OF DELIRIUM (2009, DEITY DOWN RECORDS) will be recorded during the first months of 2011. Currently the band is available for negotiations with record companies.’

 

 

‘Murder Therapy performing 'ANOPTIKON' and 'DRAWN BACK’

 

 

VICTIMIZER’s album ‘TALES OF LOSS AND NEW FOUND SERENITY’ did suffer some delay at the factory, but late last month it finally arrived. The album’s release dates are now as follows:

November 1st 2010: Benelux.

December 1st 2010: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece.

February 1st 2010: UK, IE, Rest of the world.

The band has started to perform live again. Come December the band is scheduled to play EINDHOVEN METAL MEETING. For other live dates, see http://www.myspace.com/victimizernl. DEBT OF NATURE will perform at NORDRHEIN WESTPHALEN DEATHFEST’s 10th anniversary on November 13th. The band has got a lot of positive momentum coming their way, which they are sharing with the world via (bi) weekly newsletters. 12 Sep 2010: VICTIMIZER, Debt Of Nature, BRUTUS and general Deity Down Records news.

The first reviews of VICTIMIZER’s album ‘TALES OF LOSS AND NEW FOUND SERENITY’ have come in (see http://www.deitydownrecords.com/victimizer-tales_of_loss_and_new_found_serenity-reviews.html). The artwork still is suffering from delays, but hopefully we’ll be able to actually release the record in October. Pre-ordering already is possible from our shop section. The definitive release date of BRUTUS’ album ‘Murwgebeukt (Total Loss)’ still cannot be set. Both the audio as well as the artwork remain under construction at this moment.

30 Aug 2010: BRUTUS: Wacken Open Air footage available, album update.

BRUTUS' Wacken Open Air 2010 preformance turned out to be a special event. Along with Schoft (guitars, vocals), Bastaerd (guitars, vocals) and Yuma van Eekelen (drums), bassist/vocalist Ploert climbed the stage, thus reverting the band's line-up into three quarters of its original state. Below you can view ‘Geestesziek (Ill Minded)’, taken from the forthcoming album 'Murwgebeukt (Total Loss)', followed by 'Slachtbeest (Slaughterbeast)', title track from the band's 2003 debut full-length.

18 July 2010: BRUTUS, PERSISTENSE, MURDER THERAPY, VICTIMIZER news.

First up: unfortunately the release of BRUTUS’ album ‘Murwgebeukt (Total Loss)’, sophmore to ‘Slachtbeest (Slaughterbeast)’ has been pushed back, most likely to early September of 2010. The final bricks in the wall of the completion of the mix and mastering are taking more of an effort than expected. We apologize for the inconvenience.

 

The good thing about Brutus’ suffering somewhat of an extra delay delay is that Deity Down Records could possibly release ‘Murwgebeukt (Total Loss)’ together with VICTIMIZER’s label debut ‘Tales Of Loss And New Found Serenity’, an album on which Dan Swanö is close to shedding his last drops of sweat over. Like Brutus’ album, judging from the last know mixes known here at the office, VICTIMIZER’s CD will sound nothing less but absolutely killer.

 

PERSISTENSE have joined the ranks over at DOOMSTAR BOOKING AGENCY. A recent statement (for anti-spam reasons we’ve adapted the agency’s email addresses accordingly) issued by the band says:

Italian extreme Death Metallers MURDER THERAPY (http://www.myspace.com/murdertherapy) have been confirmed for this year's NEUROTIC DEATHFEST (http://www.neuroticdeathfest.com). On Saturday May 1st the band will replace Antigama.

 

And another festival appearance by a band on Deity Down Records’ roster: om June 4th DEVIOUS (http://www.myspace.com/deviousdomain) will make their way onto the stage at GAHLEN MOSCHT (http://www.gahlenmoscht.de/news.html) in Germany. Earlier the band also was confirmed to play DEVILSTONE OPEN AIR (http://www.devilstone.net) in Lithuania on July 17th.

 

 

06 April 2010: Murder Therapy ‘The Scourge’ clip online; Victimizer secures ENGL endorsement deal.

Other news comes from the guys in Victimizer. They managed to land an endorsement with ENGL amps. The newly acquired equipment will be heard on the upcoming album ‘Tales Of Loss And New Found Serenity’.

 

 

05 April 2010: Devious confirmed to play Devilstone Open Air in Lithuania.

Taking place in Anyksciai, Dainuva valley in the Baltic State of Lithuania on July 16-18, “Devilstone Open Air” has confirmed DEVIOUS, one of the bands on our roster. DEVIOUS will appear along the likes of MAYHEM, DEICIDE, TANKARD, Gorath and many others.

 

 

13 March 2010: Debt Of Nature finish recording.

The CKB Studios (Essen, Germany) are a safe place again. Germany’s Thrashing Death/Grind sixpack Debt Of Nature have finished recording their first release for Deity Down Records: ‘CRUSH, KILL AND BURN’.

 

Up next will be mix and mastering which will take place at Andy Classen’s Stage One Studio. The band wrote studio blogs about their studio sessions, which you can read at the band’s MySpace page.

03 February 2010: Last Sunday’s intie with Persistense on WCNI (CT, USA).

The Godfather of Metal’s interview with Persistense guitarist Ralf on WCNI’s The Asylum Metal Radio Show was cool to listen to. You can hear to the intie here (MP3, 192 CBR, approx. 22 minutes in English). Not only was the chat live on air, but the show’s host Bob Howard did an awesome job on featuring Persistense’s music too.

02 February 2010: MURDER THERAPY pro video shoot postponed.

Due to extreme weather the band was unable to get to the site where the clip ‘The Scourge’ was supposed to be filmed. The session will be rescheduled. 01 February 2010: Press Statement: DEBT OF NATURE (Thrashing Death Grind) Sign to DEITY DOWN RECORDS.

 

English:

Düsseldorf, Germany based Death Metal band DEBT OF NATURE have signed an agreement for the release of their forthcoming full-length ‘CRUSH, KILL AND BURN’ through DEITY DOWN RECORDS (Netherlands).

Recordings, engineered by CARSTEN REHMANN (JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE, UNCHALLENGED HATE) are scheduled to take place at CKB Studios (Essen, Germany) during February, the result of which will be mixed and mastered at ANDY CLASSEN’s Stage One Studio (KRISIUN, ASPHYX, BELPHEGOR, LEGION OF THE DAMNED, HOLY MOSES) in March. ‘CRUSH, KILL AND BURN’ should be ready for release around May of 2010.

 

Along with a brand new logo, DEBT OF NATURE introduces new drummer KEVIN ‘Kev’ SIEPMANN and female lead vocalist MASAE DAUSEND.

Die Aufnahmen starten im Februar in den CKB Studios (Essen), unter der Aufsicht von CARSTEN REHMANN (JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE, UNCHALLENGED HATE). 27 January 2010: Persistense guitarist Ralf on WCNI radio (CT, USA).

On January 31st Persistense will be featured on The Asylum Metal Radio Show which is hosted by Bob Howard (aka the Godfather of Metal). The Asylum Metal Radio is a show on WCNI Radio from New London, CT, USA.

 

The Godfather will have an in-depth live chat with Persistense’s guitarist Ralf. The show kicks off at midnight on Saturday night (CT, USA time zone). EU listeners will have to get up early. It’ll be 6 AM in Amsterdam then….

 

 

15 January 2010: Persistense to support Détente (US) in Holland.

On April 29th Persistense will support the legendary US band Détente (an explosive mixture of politically charged thrash and punk) at Little Devil (Tilburg, NL), followed by a show at The Rambler (Eindhoven, NL) on May 02nd.

05 January 2010: Press Statement: Murder Therapy announce pro video shoot and upcoming tour. Album streamable online.

Italian extreme Death Metallers MURDER THERAPY are working on a videoclip of the song ‘The Scourge’ which will be completed during the month of January. Also, a short European tour through Italy, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic is scheduled for the month of April.

 

Last but not least MURDER THERAPY decided to stream their complete album ‘Symmetry of Delirium’ from their My Space page and from last.fm indefinitely.

 

 

The band comments:

 

"We decided to take another step in doing things our way. We have uploaded our entire album, hoping it will stay online a long time. We know we are not the first band to do this, and will not be the last, although most of the time albums are streamed only for a limited promotional time. We want to use this blog to be clear about what we are doing. There are certain beliefs about the music/internet relationship that we think don’t make sense anymore.

 

To think that downloading an album equals a failure in selling it is madness. Thinking that streaming an entire album could demotivate its purchase is absurd (unless the album is really bad, eh eh). Having the listener find somewhere else (blogspots, Torrents, P2P..) a “preview” of the entire album, instead of having the band present it is nonsense.

 

So, in the attempt of taking back what is ours and present it to our listeners in the way we think is right,  we decided to  leave our entire album “Symmetry of Delirium” online. If you think our music is interesting listen to it here and maybe tell us what you think about it, it will be more than appreciated. And if you feel like supporting Murder Therapy, grab our merch online, in a store or at our concerts… now!"

 

 

‘Symmetry of Delirium’, the first full-length studio album by MURDER THERAPY, recorded and mixed at 16th Cellar Studios in Rome, Italy by Stefano Morabito, who has previously worked with HOUR OF PENANCE, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, among many others, was released on September 7th 2009 via Deity Down Records.
