With Deity Down Records from 2009-Present

BIOGRAPHY:

VICTIMIZER (Nijmegen, Netherlands) plays metal. Death, Black, Thrash, you hear what you want to hear. They do not care and it has always been this way since 1996.

During first years VICTIMIZER’s live efforts involved opening slots, mostly for bigger bands from the European underground like DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY, NO RETURN, INHUME, ALTAR, ASPHYX, and DEATH SQUAD. In 2000 VICTIMIZER won the finals of “de Roos van Nijmegen” were voted best band by the audience, and played numerous of gigs thereafter, along with a spot on the bill of HUNTENPOP.

A good share of line up changes delayed the path towards the band’s first full-length “DIVIDED AS ONE” (self-released, 2003). Personnel changes continued to take place in the years to follow, until with the addition of frontman Niels in March of 2005 VICTIMIZER finally turned into a stable unit.

During October and November of 2007 VICTIMIZER went on to promote their “THE SPIRAL DOWN" EP throughout Holland along with DEAD SQUAD and APOCRYPHA. VICTIMIZER suffered a major setback during that tour when founding member Sacha was hospitalized due to major head trauma. Sacha, being unable to continue to participate in VICTIMIZER, the band he created and loved the most, passed the torch on to the rest of VICTIMIZER and their new family member Andrew.

At the 2008 edition of “TO HELL FEST” (Groesbeek, Netherlands) VICTMIZER informed the fans of the consequences of Sacha’s misfortune. The news caused a complete silence throughout the venue. Then, giving credit to all the years of dedication, heart and soul that Sacha gave throughout his 12 years of service, the crowd’s response was massive. "For what matters now", the next song the band played that night (the last VICTIMIZER song that Sacha had worked on) is a track that will always have a special meaning for the band.

The following shows in 2008 were with the likes of EXCREMENTORY GRINDFUCKERS, HOUWITSER, ENTOMBED, DETONATION, THE LUCIFER PRINCIPLE and the last show of that turbulent year was with Holland’s all-star band HAIL OF BULLETS at the GMT fest.

Late in 2009 fellow deathsters, Twilight Vertrieb signed outfit TOXOCARA (Kampen, Netherlands) asked drummer Romeo and vocalist Niels to fill vacancies that existed, which they did.

On December 1st of 2009 VICTIMIZER signed to Dutch underground label Deity Down Records in order to record their latest work, a full-album by the title of “TALES OF LOSS AND NEW FOUND SERENITY”. The album, recorded at SPLIT SECOND SOUND in Amsterdam, Netherlands was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at UNISOUND in Sweden, and completed with artwork by the hand of graphic artist/filmmaker Richard Spierings. Meanwhile the band has landed endorsement deals with ENGL amps and MASTERWORK cymbals.

On January 20^th of 2011, effective immediately, vocalist Niels was replaced with ARNOLD OUDE MIDDENDORP (NETHERSTORM, Ex-DEVIOUS, ex-ALTAR).
